About C. E. Rose
I’m a graphic artist and aspiring fiction writer. Currently working on my first novel (OK, 2 or 3 at once), my goal is to have a revised manuscript ready for agent query before the end of 2014. Read a few samples of my work here. Cristen Elizabeth Rose is my steampunk persona. The real me (a country girl also named Elizabeth) graduated from Florida State University with a BA in Creative Writing not too long ago. I live in Tallahassee, Florida with my husband in an energy-efficient house in the woods. We share our forest with three goats and lots of wild critters (who eat my roses!) Although I still pick up a real paintbrush now and then (and the odd needle and thread to embellish a costume), most of my steampunk art is digital. You can see what I do in my gallery.
What’s My Thing?
I write steampunk, fantasy, and gaslamp fantasy with a romantic twist. Why, because I love magic, impossible machines and love stories. Corsets, cravats and revolvers are quite fun to write about too…
